As the Head of Product Design, youβll be a key senior leader within the company, growing and maturing the UI/UX. You will operate at a strategic level to set a user-centered design vision and implement systems and workflows to actualize it. You are a leader, a great teammate, and a business innovation driver that enjoys results-oriented challenges in a dynamic environment. You will be driving UI/UX as a common capability across multiple departments and partner with CEO, Head of engineering & senior leadership in delivering business value to their respective divisions.
Ideal candidate:
- 3+ years of management experience demonstrating strong leadership, team building, mentoring & coaching to a team of cross-functional UI/UX professionals.
- 7+ years experience in designing and supporting design systems and style guides; up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies.
- Extensive knowledge of UI/UX architecture, user-centered design best practices, creative and visual design concepts as these relate to corporate software applications and customer-facing experiences.
- Strong portfolio with demonstrated success in designing customer-facing, large scale web application experiences.
- Exceptional cross-functional communication and collaboration skills. You must be comfortable and confident leading discussions at all levels, from C-suite to designers and product managers.
- Experience in User Research (interview, testing).
- Strong design thinking.
- Self-driven with an ability to solve problems analytically, creatively and effectively.
What you will do:
- Create the strategy and lay the foundation for a high-performing, highly motivated UI/UX team who delivers best-in-class experiences through the company's products (Core Platform, Customer Platform).
- Deliver innovative, engaging prototypes using the latest in technologies.Thoroughly understand the company's customer and users, identify opportunities, and develop a prioritized roadmap for exceptional and intuitive user experiences while aligning with business goals.
- Create design toolkit and system design in line with the company's brand and product guidelines.
- Work with digital analyst team to measure the impact of all UI and UX changes.
- Conduct research of user behavior (interviews, etc.), and translate results to wireframes and prototypes.
